Celine Dion recorded nine French albums by the time she was eighteen, dominated the U.S. pop charts in the 90’s, and won a bunch of awards throughout her music career. The singer is one of the most recognized talents in the music biz and is best known for her hits, “My Heart Will Go On,” “Because You Loved Me,” and “I’m Your Angel.” However, with all her success in music, it appears that the star is still having a tough time trying to sell her Florida estate. In fact, the home has been on the market since 2013, and the singer has yet again slashed the price of her old Jupiter residence.
Both Celine Dion and her late husband built the home in 2010 and reportedly spent much more money than the current asking price, according to Joseph Montanaro of Sotheby’s International Realty Quebec. According to Yahoo News, the luxurious house sits on 5½ acres of oceanfront property with 415 feet of sandy beach. The main home features five bedrooms and a huge closet any fashionista would die for, including automated clothing and shoe racks. Other features inside the home include vaulted ceilings in the living room; a butler’s kitchen; and spacious, open-plan rooms. Let’s not forget the gorgeous views of the ocean.
The outside of the home is where the real attraction begins. There are not one, but three pools. The parents of Eddy, Nelson, and Rene-Charles Angelil wanted to build a waterpark so they also included a lazy river and waterslide. Outside of the home you’ll also find a treehouse and eight water cannons. If you aren’t in the mood to swim, the property also includes a tennis court, which doubles as a basketball court and a tennis pavilion that contains a gym and a golf simulator.
According to The Wall Street Journal, Celine Dion seems more motivated to sell her Florida oceanfront property this time around by dropping the price to $38.5 million. When the beautiful home was first listed back in 2013, the star was asking $72 million. In 2016, when her husband, Rene Angelil lost his battle with throat cancer, Ms. Dion lowered the price of the home to $45.5 million.
Now that Celine Dion’s contract with Caesars Palace has been extended until 2019, the star has been living in Las Vegas and wants to sell her estate. According to Susan Turner of Waterfront Properties and Club Communities, it hasn’t been easy trying to sell multi-million dollar homes. “Last year was very slow,” Turner stated. However, Turner mentioned that activity for buying homes has risen since the presidential election. Hopefully, Celine Dion can finally find the right buyer for her immaculate home.
